Field Target Match
August 17, 2002

Another great day at BAGA for our monthly match. The temps hovered in the 80’s and, thanks to our draught, there were no bugs to be found anywhere. The wooded course did offer some relief from the sun and heat and the shade was appreciated by all. Of course, some of the lanes still caused beads of sweat to appear, but that wasn’t due to the heat, but rather from a few of the challenging shots. The final course preparations were made prior to match start and we shot the “Back Course”, for a total of 52 shots.

The match scores again represent the diversity of our shooters as well as the improvement of many new shooters. Congratulations to Allen Zasadny for his win. Again congrats to Brandon Carrol for another First Place win in the Piston class, again with his R-1. We continue to see Terry Peterson doing well in the Chair Class and we have had other interest by medically challenged shooters who have yet to join Terry in this specialized class. Once we have a couple more shooters in this class, we will award them on the local level as well.

Awards were presented at the conclusion of the event and as usual we enjoyed snacks and drinks provided by Ron Weber. Thanks again to all the members for their help and donations. Our next match will be the Badgerland Regionals to be held on Saturday/Sunday, September 14-15, 2002.Congratulations to all winners.
