BAGA - Badgerland AirGun Association
IFP Match
June 18, 2005

What a GREAT DAY for shooting airguns, being with family and friends and enjoying a little picnic fare. Today we had several BAGA members come together to share a little fun and a little completion. We only shot one IFP match in very windy conditions, but we also practiced hitting some of the fall down targets as well. We will give it another try on another day, when more members can join in the fun. We had a new bench shooter, Jim Parrish, and he really shot quite well for the wind conditions and the fact that he was shooting an R-7. We hope he will come back and make another stab at it on a friendlier wind day or perhaps exercise his HW-77 instead. Don C. shot his infamous TX-200 with the brass and trim and he is getting quite prepared for that Indian State Springer match. I'm sure he will do BAGA proud.

Vlad and wife Dina, along with son Daniel and Mark, spent most of the day enjoying a good family time as well as lots of good food, drink and airgunning. We just can't seem to de-thrown Vlad no matter what the conditions, a true mark of a champion. Of course playing with his new baby Mark, I'm sure settled all his nerves. Don Fong took an under-achieving R-1 (780fps) and shot better than some of his indoor matches .....congrats to Don. Bill Kushner under normal "get home early" pressure still out-shot me by one point...must have waited for the wind to die down on that last shot. And Ron Weber is continuing to show his improvement and excellent sniper skills and will be still chasing that "Russian" for another match. Thanks also to Ron for turning the sausage and burgers before they became too crispy and thanks also to Don F. for the curie chix wings and drums. Thanks again to all for making it a great summer day!!
