The fourth match of the season is now history. We had another good turnout and we saw the return of Bill Howarth and his amazing shooting for his make-up matches. Bill shot a full load of 8 targets in one day. He shot 2 targets during each of 4 matches. T his goes to show that everyone can still make up their missing matches. And he did quite well for not picking up a FT gun in over 3 months. Don't let his retirement status fool you, he had more energy today than most of the youngin's put together.
We also had a nice surprise visit by Phil Herman. He again had to attend a nearby seminar and planned all along to bring his trusty CR-X to the BAGA "shooting hotel". We always look forward to Phil's visits and wish him well on his summer's journey to the World's in Germany. Word has it he will be shooting a very special Mac-1 US-FT made up for the 12 ft-lb. limit. Give em heck, Phil and hope to see you at our Badgerlands.
Finally, at the end of the day we had another Master shooter show his special wares. L ucky for me I had finished my session early and got onto my scope to watch Brandon finish up his Springer target for the day. He already owns the Official World IFP record for the Break Barrel division and today he just SMOKED his target shooting an unbelievable "38" with his almost always trusty R-1 and 6-18 Simmons. To hear complain that he didn't thinks his groups were as good as they could...YIKES Brandon, it was a "38"!!!.
